8: The Year Mashela Stole Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring...except an NME rat!
After the busiest months of her life, Missy is thrilled to spend Christmas vacation with her family, Paul and Rapper. That is, until she wakes up to find her Christmas tree destroyed and her presents missing.
Just when it seems things can’t get any worse, all clues lead her to believe NME agent Mashela Knavery had everything to do with it.
Who says old enemies never return?
Will Missy ever get her Christmas back? Will she discover why Mashela’s causing such trouble–again?
It’s going to take a full load of holiday cheer to help the Superkids in this adventure!
Nail-biting excitement, quirky characters and fun surprises fill this Commander Kellie and the Superkids novel about responding to persecution.

Author’s Comments
In this Superkid novel, which was originally the final one, I just had to bring back Mashela, my favorite villian. And nothing seemed more appropriate than having she and Missy duke it out in a beauty contest, with Paul in the flanks.
Secrets
- This was actually the second novel #8 I wrote. The first one, which I finished, we put aside because it was connected to close to the original #6 and #7 I wrote, that we put on hold. Now the first novel #8 is #11.
- Out of all the Superkid books, I considered the second my best novel for all the characters. That’s why I wanted to bring Missy back into her hometown again with her parents, Gran, Fiffer and others.
- Check out the chapter titles in this one. Each one is the title of a traditional Christmas song.
- Paul and Rapper are watching a cartoon in chapter 1: “Zoey and Zuzu.” Those were the names of the cats my wife and I found right after we were married.
